Ryan D. Herrington, M.D., M.P.H.

Professional Qualifications

Dr. Herrington is a double board-certified physician with more than 25 years of clinical experience, including over a decade of work in correctional healthcare systems. His practice has included the direct evaluation and management of complex medical conditions in jail and prison settings, as well as systems-level oversight of institutional healthcare delivery.


He currently serves as a physician consultant and expert witness in matters involving standards of care, institutional practices, and medical causation in correctional environments. In addition, he provides direct clinical care through Bayani Health, a telehealth-based outpatient addiction clinic.
